Jayne Cooper has been named as the new Events Manager for Essential Communications |
Essential Communications has named well-known and respected industry executive Jayne Cooper as Events Manager. The move comes as the travel retail PR specialist company creates an events division, in response to client queries and demands for events advice and organisation.
Essential Communications Account Director and Owner Row Holland said: “We are often approached by both (Essential Communications) clients and others within the industry to advise on and organise events of all sizes and formats; something which until now we have only been able to assist with in a limited way.”
Cooper is well-known within the industry from her previous roles, dating back to 1995 when she joined Tax Free World Association (TFWA) as PA to Sarah Branquinho, then Commercial Director.
Since then, Cooper has served in various roles for TFWA, including the assistance and management of conferences and the organisation of TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes and TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore.
Holland added that Cooper’s experience in the industry and event organisation makes her well-suited to the role. “Jayne’s combined knowledge of the travel retail industry together with experience of events organisation and venue finding makes her the ideal person to develop this side of our business,” said Holland.
In her new role at Essential Communications, she will continue to provide editorial texts for the TFWA marketing department.
Cooper also has experience working as a freelance events organiser and venue finder for various companies including London-based agency, Financial Marketing.
