UAE. Etihad Airways has announced that its award-winning loyalty scheme Etihad Guest is to operate as a separate legal entity ahead of plans to grow the programme.
The decision, which was made to support Etihad Guest’s growth as a leading customer loyalty and marketing services organisation, will see increased investment in developing specialty services designed to improve member engagement and returns for partners of the programme.
The loyalty programme enables members to accumulate Etihad Guest miles on Etihad Airways flights as well as through global airline partners such as airberlin, Air Seychelles and American Airlines. The scheme also allows members to collect miles with non-airline partners such as hotels and car rental companies.
Miles can be redeemed against a selection of flights on more than 3,000 routes and more than 6,000 non-flight rewards from partners on the Etihad Guest online Reward Shop. Miles can also be converted to spend in more than 30 million retail outlets worldwide.
