TAIWAN. Ever Rich Duty Free has hosted its fourth annual Light Spectrum Tourism Camp in partnership with the Chiang Education Foundation.
Camp participants are middle school students from disadvantaged families or who have less education resources, while competition-winning college students are invited to help run the summer camp.

They take part in a four-day, three-night summer camp with four main themes: international tourism development, local cultural connection, the needs of students, and community service.
Ever Rich said the project aimed to give the middle school students the opportunity to have different experiences, and the college students the chance to learn how a company runs a project and develop vital career skills.

Some 120 students from Kaotai, Taichung Xinshe and Da-an middle schools participated in two camps in Pingtung (in southeastern Taiwan) and Taichung in July.
Two teams from Fuying and Jinan universities won a summer camp proposal competition in May to participate. They will also have the opportunity to intern at Ever Rich Duty Free.
The students were able to experience day-to-day operations at Kaohsiung and Taichung international airports on the last day of the respective camps, learning about different job functions and responsibilities.
