TAIWAN. To celebrate The Islay Festival (Fèis Ìle), a famed annual pilgrimage for whisky enthusiasts (22-31 May), EVERRICH Duty Free is literally and figuratively bringing the spirit of the Scottish west coast island celebration directly to Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei.
From tomorrow (23 May) to 31 May, EVERRICH is hosting a limited-time themed experience titled ‘Spirit of Islay: A Sensory Journey’ at the Terminal 2 C2 Store, inviting passengers to embark on an immersive whisky exploration before boarding.
Affectionately known as the ‘Holy land of whisky’, Islay is celebrated for its distinctive peated, smoky character and maritime influence.
For this special event, EVERRICH has curated six renowned distilleries and a selection of duty-free/travel retail-exclusive (TREX) expressions.

- Laphroaig, famous for its bold iodine and peaty notes;
- Bowmore, which balances maritime salinity with layered fruit aromas;
- Bunnahabhain, recognised for its gentle coastal character and refined body;
- Ardbeg, affectionately dubbed the ‘peat monster’ by seasoned peat lovers.
A complimentary tasting experience will be available, allowing travellers to discover the distinct personalities of the six Islay TREXs.
