UK. Following its successful launch into the North American market, British company Extreme Spirits Ltd is seeking distributors for Wokka Saki, dubbed the “first ever vodka sake brand”.
In October 2004, Extreme Spirits signed an exclusive agreement for US import and distribution with Pasternak Wine Imports of New York State. Earlier this year, the firm appointed ex-Seagram executive Raul G. Godoy as Vice-President Sales Latin America, the Caribbean and Mexico. The Canadian market is handled by Quintessence brands of Montreal.
Wokka Saki brand is a blend of micro-distilled grain vodka (80%), fine Japanese sake (20%) and a subtle essence of Asian fruit. Wokka Saki “represents the fusion of two cultures, inspired by the awesome beauty of “˜Snow Monsters’ [snow-covered conifers – Ed] found around Japan’s Asahi mountains between January and March”, according to the company.
Wokka Saki has excelled at the San Francisco International Spirits competition for three consecutive years, having been awarded Double Gold in 2003, Gold in 2004, and Double Gold in 2005.
