LUXEMBOURG. Ferrero is launching a special pack for its children’s chocolate brand Kinder to celebrate the Ramadan festival.

The Kinder Mix Ramadan pack, weighing 550g and featuring subtle star and moon motifs, will be tested in the Middle East and Malaysia.

In a separate development, the firm is working on a seasonal version of its Kinder product.

Ferrero is also working on boosting its overall visibility in-store. Earlier this year, the company launched an egg-shaped Kinder Surprise merchandising unit for travel retailers, specially designed to fit in a small space. Personalised fixtures are also available for the Raffaello brand, and new layouts and visuals will be introduced at the TFWA World Exhibition this October.

Ferrero reported that its new Rond Noir dark chocolate gift pack was performing very well in travel retail, particularly among Asian shoppers who buy chocolate as a gift. The gold-themed Ferrero Rocher gift box is already well-known across Asia among gift-givers.
