CHINA. Beauty technology company Foreo has joined the fight against the coronavirus outbreak by donating 2,500 protective suits to three hospitals in Hubei province.
The wellbeing company expressed its deepest sympathies for the people of Wuhan.
Foreo said it recognised the medical staff’s lack of necessary protective gear to safely fight against the epidemic; and decided to take action to directly help the doctors and nurses who are combating the outbreak.
The donations — valued at RMB100,000 (US$14,300) — were sent to Hubei Yangxin County People’s Hospital, Huanggang City Xishui County People’s Hospital, and Huanggang City Yingshuan County People’s Hospital.
Foreo has undergone a multi-channel search and procurement process in order to provide the much-needed protective gear. The first batch was sourced from Europe and has already reached the three hospitals.
Foreo said its teams were sending practical support and also praying for the health and safety of all those affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
It said that that with unity and compassion, China and its people would overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than ever.
