FRANCE. TFWA has announced an update to its TFWA World Conference 2025 programme – four-time NBA champion, entrepreneur and philanthropist Tony Parker will be joining the speaker line-up on Monday 29 September.

Parker, whose career has spanned the high-pressure world of elite sport and the equally demanding sphere of international business, will bring a fresh perspective on leadership, resilience and teamwork. His blend of experience offers “a distinctive lens on how to build, inspire and sustain winning teams”, TFWA said.
Parker will replace Gloria Guevara Manzo, who has had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.
Updates have also been made to the workshop schedule. On Wednesday 1 October morning, the ‘Next Horizon: Charting the Future of Travel Retail’ workshop will include an introduction from TFWA Managing Director Franck Waechter. The session will be moderated by TFWA Member Services Manager Nicole Daniells.
TFWA President Philippe Margueritte commented: “We’re delighted to welcome an international athlete Tony Parker to our programme this year. Sport teaches us how to build multicultural teams, perform under pressure and succeed in challenging environments – all of which reflect our daily life in travel retail.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s TFWA World Conference and workshops, which promise to deliver inspiring perspectives and valuable insights for our industry.”
Under the theme ‘Explore New Horizons’, the conference will take place from 9am to 11.30am on Monday 29 September at the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals. ✈
