FRANCE. Ralph Lauren Fragrances has confirmed the launch dates in travel retail for Ralph Lauren Blue, a cool fresh floral fragrance for women.
Ralph Lauren Blue is a casually elegant fragrance that is a modern classic in the same vein as Ralph Lauren Blue for men launched earlier this year (The Moodie Report, 16 April 2003). Combining classic perfumery elements, including a delicate floral blend with the modernity of our signature watery accord, Ralph Lauren Blue is sparkling, lush and sensual.
According to Ralph Lauren: “I wanted to create a fragrance that captured the feel of cool clear water and the radiance of a sunny blue sky. Ralph Lauren Blue is a fresh and sexy scent for a confident, beautiful woman.”
Using unique imagery association, the signature accords of Ralph Lauren Blue are brought to life through visual descriptions of a journey to three escape destinations – an exotic tropical island ( Lotus Flower, Gardenia, Muguet, Pink Peony and Sparkling Jasmine) the classic Nantucket shores (Rose de Mai, Tuberose, Jasmine Petals and Orange Flower) and a calming, sensual spa (Ambrette, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Mousse de Chine and Musk).
Ralph Lauren Blue will be presented at the TFWA World show in Cannes in October 2003 and is available in 75ml, 125ml sizes, body lotion and shower gel.
Blue for women is already available on US local markets now and will be launched in travel retail markets in phases during early 2004. Americas travel retail will launch in January 2004, followed by Europe and Asian in March.
Prices that have been confirmed are as follows in various travel retail markets: Blue 75ml €42.40 (Europe) and US$37.50 (Americas); Blue 125 ml €57.60 (Europe) and US$49.50 (Americas); body lotion US$29 (Americas); shower gel US$26.50 (Americas).
