Furla enhances Dublin Airport location with new personalised corner

Furla’s new 15sq m personalised corner featuring the Spring/Summer 2013 collection

Furla has expanded its presence in Dublin International Airport with a new 15sq m personalised corner, located within The Collection @ Dublin store.

Operated by Tie Rack, the corner opened on 11 June with the Furla Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Furla Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday commented: “As we continue to expand our presence in airports globally, Furla is very keen to build its image with boutiques, shop-in-shops and personalised corners able to project the true essence of the brand. Dublin is one example of where the company has upgraded its presence in line with this strategy.”

Last year Furla reported a turnover of €212 million, representing an +18% increase on 2011. EBITDA rose +15% to reach €32 million. In the same period, Furla’s travel retail business surged by +93%.

Furla is present in 71 countries with five subsidiaries in France, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and the USA. 80% of distribution is retail, with 320 mono-brand stores (156 Furla boutiques and 164 authorised retailers), and 20% via a wholesale business comprising 1,290 multi-brand and department stores.
