The Glenlivet shows its artisanal side at Sydney Airport tasting bar

The Glenlivet recently partnered with Heinemann Duty Free to execute a pop-up Tasting Bar at Sydney Airport.

Running through April, the bar was designed to showcase two of The Glenlivet’s key ranges: The Master Distiller’s Reserve, a global travel retail exclusive of three triple-cask matured single malt whiskies, and The Glenlivet Nàdurra range, the brand’s artisanal offering of three expressions.

A feature of the pop-up was the Nàdurra Drinks Trolley, made by designer-craftsman Sebastian Cox in collaboration with The Glenlivet. According to the brand, the trolley’s design was inspired by the traditional malt barrow originally used in the distillery to turn and transport malt used in the creation of the Nàdurra range.

Throughout the activation, tasting sessions were hosted by The Glenlivet Brand Ambassador for Australia Rachel McDonald.

To support the pop-up, Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Pacific initiated a digital campaign on social media. Designed to reach Qantas Frequent Flyers when booking flights from Sydney Airport in April, the campaign raised awareness of the launch and encouraged passengers to visit The Glenlivet Tasting Bar ahead of their trip.
