Indri Single Malt Indian Whisky has launched the travel retail-exclusive (TREX) Indri Ilika, building on the growing international momentum behind the brand, according to owner Piccadily Distilleries.
Produced at the Indri Distillery in the foothills of the Himalayas, Ilika is matured in a combination of ex-Spanish sherry and ex-American bourbon oak casks. The name Ilika is derived from the Sanskrit word for earth.
The Indian single malt has achieved 100,000 case sales for two consecutive years and is strengthening its presence in key whisky markets worldwide.
In addition, Indri has earned recognition at major industry competitions, including the World Whiskies Awards, Whiskies of the World Awards, International Whisky Competition and the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition.
Recent releases include the Diwali Collector’s Editions, single casks, House of the Dragon collaborations and limited-edition TREXs.
Piccadily Distilleries Head of International Business Madhu Kanna said, “Indri Ilika represents our continued pursuit of innovation and our commitment to creating exceptional whiskies for evolving global consumers.
“Travel retail remains an important platform for discovery, and Indri Ilika has been crafted to offer travellers a unique expression that showcases both the elegance of peat and the distinctive character of Indian single malt whisky.”
On the nose, Indri Ilika combines delicate chocolate and vanilla notes, complemented by dried apple, apricot and fruit preserves, alongside gentle peat smoke and earthy undertones.
On the palate, the whisky offers layers of tropical fruit flavours, including banana and mango, balanced by rich toffee sweetness, light spice and soft peat. The whisky has a smooth, elegant and smoky finish with lasting fruit sweetness and gentle spice.
Indri Ilika is available exclusively through selected travel retail locations at an approximate retail price of US$80. ✈
