Godet to show its avant-garde side in Cannes – 31/07/08

FRANCE. Independent supplier Cognac Godet will be displaying its range of eaux-de-vie at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes this October.

The company aims to offer a wide range and has a selective distribution policy. To this end, the company recently diversified its product portfolio into fine wine.

President Jean-Jacques Godet explained: “Within ten years, our company must and should be able to propose a very large range of products to meet customers’ demand.

“That is the reason why Cognac Godet has recently bought a ten-hectare vineyard in the Saint Emilion region (Château Haut Laplagne) in order to make a very good quality wine, aged in oak casks (only 50,000 bottles).

“We do not want to supply mass distribution networks,” he added.
