FRANCE. Guerlain will introduce a new feminine fragrance, called Idylle, in September. The scent is being positioned as a “dream of love”, the olfactory embodiment of a transient love affair.

The juice, created by Guerlain nose Thierry Wasser, is composed around two rose notes: a blend of Bulgarian roses, and the Plessis Robinson rose. These have been combined with a chypre harmony, emblematic of Guerlain, composed of patchouli and white musk. Other key ingredients include lily-of-the-valley, lilac, peony, freesia and jasmine.
The flacon – a gold-coloured curved shape, reminiscent of a teardrop – was created by designer Ora Ãto. The fragrance will be available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edp.
The Idylle launch will be supported by both TV and print advertising, directed by fashion photographer Paolo Roversi. The fragrance face is actress/singer Nora Arnezeder, who is depicted dancing and singing to a reorchestrated version of Singing in the Rain as golden raindrops fall all around her.
