UAE. Dubai-based accessories company french & lawless has clinched its first inflight listing for the “˜hangbag’ – a stylish hook that allows bags to be easily fixed to tables.
The company, which has just received its first inflight listing on Emirates Airline, designs and imports a range of exclusive jewellery, leatherware and now ‘hangbags’.
It said: “Traditionally women are forced to place their bags on the floor in a public place, away from sight, in danger of theft or becoming worn or dirty. The hangbag completely solves the problem of where to place your bag, making them an indispensable addition to every woman’s handbag collection.”
The company – whose marketing tagline is “˜Keep your friends close – but your handbag closer’ – views the device as an ideal complement to the designer handbag market, where women are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for the latest products.
For both formal and casual bags, the company has designed more than 19 styles of hooks in a range of colours and materials, including exclusive handmade leather and crystals.
Already seeing success in the Middle East, french & lawless is aiming to roll out the brand globally soon.
