UK. Resurgent British luxury goods house Asprey is to open its first-ever travel retail airport shop next month.
The store will open on 10 December at London Heathrow Airport terminal four. The opening represents a critical landmark in Asprey’s comeback on the international stage and caps three years of major investment in product development and store renovation.
The company has successfully re-opened enlarged US and UK flagship stores in New York and London and is committed to an aggressive global expansion of ten new doors by the end of 2005. The other stores will be located in the “most prestigious shopping areas” in the UK, Japan, Dubai, Moscow, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. A number will be in prime travel retail locations.
Japan was the scene of the first of these openings in September. There an Asprey suite opened in Tokyo’s Namikidori Street (one of the most exclusive districts for luxury shopping in Ginza) offering personal shopping by private appointment.
The selection of Asprey products available at the Heathrow store will include jewellery, watches, silver, leather, silk, fashion accessories, gifts and the Asprey fragrance Purple Water’, which launched earlier this year.
