US. HMSHost has announced the opening of a golf-themed Dewar’s Clubhouse at Honolulu International Airport. It will also introduce Gordon Biersch Restaurant Brewery in the airport’s EWA Concourse next month.
“HMSHost brings the airport two nationally recognised brands set in a unique atmosphere that offer our Honolulu travellers dining options that exceed their expectations,” said Hawaii Department of Transportation Director Brennon Morioka.
Located at the Central Concourse, Dewar’s Clubhouse caters to “travellers who are golf aficionados and Scotch lovers alike”, said the travel specialist.
Part European golf clubhouse and part American bar and grill, the full-service restaurant will feature live sports broadcasts and continuous golf highlights. The menu includes hearty as well as light meals and a full bar of speciality cocktails.

Gordon Biersch Restaurant Brewery was started by Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch and is “all about exceptional beer and delicious food”, said HMSHost.
It will offer traditional American cuisine with hand-crafted beers – Pilsner, Golden Export, Märzen, Dunkles, and Blonde Bock plus seasonal beers – and other fine beverages. Travellers may enjoy sit-down dining or a meal at the full-service bar while watching the news or an event on the flat screen TV.
Co-founder Dan Gordon is said to have earned a reputation as one of America’s top brewing engineers. Using only the finest ingredients, he makes sure his lagers are brewed in strict accordance with the German purity laws governing the production of beer. Ingredients used include Hallertauer hops and a pure strain yeast culture from the Weihenstephan yeast bank, supplied exclusively by the Schwarz Brauerei in Zusmarshausen, Germany.
“We want to help make Honolulu International Airport – as the gateway to paradise for travellers – an exceptional experience and one that makes the traveller’s day better when it comes to dining during travel,” said HMSHost Senior Vice President of Business Development Steve Johnson.
