QATAR. Qatar Duty Free’s latest high-profile marketing campaign takes centre stage as the leading travel retailer partners with The Moodie Davitt Report for a colourful makeover of our homepage and an elegant treatment of our mobile website.
Alongside parent Qatar Airways Group, Qatar Duty Free’s ‘Boutique in the Sky’ campaign signals how the company is seeking to extend the retail experience beyond the terminal and engage passengers earlier in their journey.
The latest phase in the company’s marketing drive is revealed to coincide with TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, which runs from 27 September to 1 October.

‘Boutique in the Sky’ is part of an agenda of activities across marketing, ecommerce and loyalty that QDF will discuss with partners in Cannes.
“We are not slowing down: marketing, ecommerce and loyalty are where we’re putting our energy and investment next, and we want partners building that next chapter with us,” Qatar Airways Group Chief Retail and Hospitality Officer Thabet Musleh told The Moodie Davitt Report.

In a key message to partners as TFWA World Exhibition begins, he added: “We didn’t just get through all the challenges of the last year, we continued to invest, innovate and grow.
“We were tested more than once, and every time, the response was the same – we pulled together and kept our promises, including the ones we made to partners in Cannes in 2025 about [digital platform] 36Q and about continuing to invest in the passenger experience.
“TFWA 2026 in Cannes is where we want to build on that. If you’re a brand with an amazing, cutting-edge concept that is going to bring something totally unique to travel retail, we’re the partner to bring it to life.”
More details and the full interview with Thabet Musleh appear in The Moodie Davitt Magazine, with the digital edition to be published on the eve of the show and hard copies available in Cannes. ✈
