INDIA. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GMR-HIAL) which is building and operating the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, near Hyderabad, has awarded its food & beverage contract to HMSHost Corporation.
HMSHost, owned by travel retail-to-catering giant Autogrill (owner of Alpha Airport Services, and co-parent of Aldeasa) will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining the major part of the F&B outlets at the new international airport which opens next April. The locations will be on the airside at Departures level (both international and domestic) and at the bus gates.
GMR-HIAL Chief Operating Officer T Srinagesh, COO said: “We are very happy to work with HMSHost to provide a world-class experience to the visitors travelling from across the globe to Hyderabad. I am sure that this will create one of the most unique retail and food & beverage experiences in the travel-retail industry”.

HMSHost will run F&B operations across 670sq m of space. The company said it will bring world-class brands to the allotted locations. Its offer features:
