US. The Hudson Group has expanded its award-winning “Hudson News” concept at Logan International Airport, terminal C.
This newest, anchor location, positioned at the entrance of Pier C, is double the size of the former retail space and features a “Discover New England” concept within. The store is one of six locations to be renovated as part of a new seven-year contract.
“Hudson News has raised the bar for customer service and quality merchandise at their terminal C news and gift shop,” said Massport ceo Craig Coy. “With an expanded store with a distinctive Boston feel, the new Hudson News offers travellers in terminal C an even wider array of quality products to chose from.”
This larger, well-positioned Hudson News store is expected to significantly enhance customer service and revenues, by offering travellers an expanded assortment of reading material, snacks, sundries and other core convenience products. Additional points of sale expedite transaction time for those customers on the run.
With the addition of a “Discover New England” section in this new store, souvenirs of cultural symbols and icons of New England give the customer another opportunity to make a purchase to commemorate their visit to the Boston area. Replicas of Boston lighthouses, nautical items, merchandise from the New England Aquarium and the Museum of Fine Arts, licensed products from the Red Sox, New England Patriots and local colleges and universities can be found.
