SOUTH KOREA. Hyundai Duty Free has unveiled an AI-powered experiential beauty activation at its Trade Center store in Gangnam, Seoul, bringing together 36 participating brands.
Running until 15 April on the ninth floor, the ‘AI Beauty Trip’ showcases personalised experiences, featuring two AI-enabled devices: the stand-type Makeup AI and the mirror-type Skin Pro AI.

Makeup AI analyses facial shape and proportions using photo capture, offering a personal colour diagnosis.
Skin Pro AI evaluates skin conditions, including pores, oil levels and wrinkles, to provide a detailed look at skin ageing.

The diagnostic reports and tailored product recommendations are accessible through QR codes displayed on each device.
The programme includes detailed information on approximately 800 products from partner brands, integrated into the system to enable precise, customised recommendations.
AI Beauty Trip customers can enjoy additional benefits, such as a KRW10,000 (US$7) prepaid card on purchases of US$50 or more on participating brands.

Complimentary gifts will be available through brand promotions, including a keyring on opening day for purchases of US$80 or more.
Participating brands include popular names such as Sulwhasoo, Whoo, Clarins and Snidel Beauty, as well as emerging K-beauty brands Wellage, Arocell and Sudee.
A Hyundai Duty Free official said, “Through AI Beauty Trip, we aim to provide customers with a differentiated shopping experience while offering participating brands opportunities to enhance brand awareness and expand their sales channels.
“We will continue to introduce diverse content to deliver unique and engaging shopping experiences.” ✈
