Our daily feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns from the global aviation and travel retail sphere.
Today’s choice comes from Zürich Airport, where Switzerland’s leading premium department store, Jelmoli, made a welcome debut yesterday. The photo comes courtesy of Zürich Airport Head of Commercial Centers Heidi Köpple.
The store embraces some 400sq m in the Airside Center (Level 1, right after the Dufry-run duty free shop on that level).
The Luxury Traveler Store offers an eclectic mix of luxury items as well as selected luggage brands. The brand portfolio at the shop-in-shop includes Tod’s, Hogan, Falke, MCM, Brunello Cucinelli (women’s & men’s), Rimowa, Ermenegildo Zegna, Jacob Cohen. Hublot, Herno, Wolford and FTC Cashmere.
About Jelmoli
Often dubbed ‘The House of Brands’, Jelmoli was founded over 185 years ago, and has become a much-loved institution within Zürich’s downtown shopping scene.
The 33,000sq m shopping complex, located on the city’s renowned Bahnhofstrasse, is home to over 1,000 premium brands and houses the largest beauty department in Switzerland.
The airport edition offers a slimmed-down, travel-curated offering and marks a noteworthy addition to an already diverse and outstanding shopping offer at the Swiss gateway.
The store’s adopted motto is ‘Ready for take off’ and, by the looks of it, if you shop there you will be.
