UAE. Today’s images come from Dubai International Airport, where Dubai Duty Free has welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse with a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration in Concourse B. The event combined traditional activities with the retailer’s signature Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draws.
Her Excellency Ou Boqian, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai and Northern Emirates, graced the occasion and led the opening remarks alongside Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi.
Red-and-gold décor framed the space, while traditional Chinese motifs and lanterns created a festive backdrop. Travellers paused to watch the activities, adding to the lively atmosphere as culture and commerce came together at Dubai International Airport.

Oliver, an Austrian national based in Portugal, and Rajan Lall, an Indian national based in the UAE, each won US$1 million in the Millennium Millionaire draw.
In the Finest Surprise draw, Walid El-Murr, a Lebanese national based in the UAE, won a Mercedes Benz S500, while UK-based David Duppa-Miller won a BMW F 900 GS.
Rasheed Parambi Abdul Kader, a 51-year-old Indian based in Jebel Ali, won an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100. He remarked: “I’m very happy with this win. Thank you Dubai Duty Free.” ✈
