Images of the Day: Mondelez’s Toblerone Crystal Bar shines in the social media spotlight

INTERNATIONAL. Today’s selection of images comes from a campaign that is a ‘cut above’ the rest. These joyful videos and images highlight how leading social media creators and travel retailers have embraced the Toblerone Crystal Bar.

As reported, Mondelez World Travel Retail has taken its latest gifting concept to nine international gateways through ‘The Ultimate Gift’ campaign, centred on nine individually numbered Toblerone Crystal Bars handcrafted by Swarovski.

Each Crystal Bar is a faithful replica of the signature Toblerone chocolate bar, brought to life with 576 hand-cut crystal facets.

One Crystal Bar is currently on display at each of the nine airports: Athens, Delhi, Doha (Hamad International), Dubai, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York JFK, Singapore and Zurich – in partnership with leading retailers Avolta, GMR Delhi Duty-Free, Dubai Duty Free, Qatar Duty Free, Frankfurt Airport Retail (Fraport-Gebr. Heinemann) and FNA Group International. 

The animations also feature a limited-edition Toblerone gift box, exclusive to travel retail and embellished with Swarovski crystals, available until September alongside a Swarovski crystal travel tag.

Global awareness for the campaign began in June as the Crystal Bars embarked on a journey from the Crystal Dome at Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens, Austria, to their respective airport destinations. The experience was documented by leading regional digital creators, who shared the experience with their followers on social media, extending the campaign’s reach well beyond the airport environment.

The initiative also carries a charitable dimension. Each of the nine Crystal Bars is being auctioned, with both travellers and non-travellers invited to bid.  100% of the winning bids will be donated to the designated charity partner at each airport, adding a meaningful legacy to one of travel retail’s most eye-catching activations.
