RUSSIA. Imperial Duty Free, the joint venture between Gebr Heinemann and Sheremetyevo Airport, has reopened its stores at Moscow Sheremetyevo Terminal C.
The stores opened last Friday, having ceased trading in March 2020. Shops in terminals D and E continued to operate through the pandemic.

Gebr Heinemann Director Sales Eastern Europe & Central Asia Oleg Zhytomyrsky said via LinkedIn: “We are celebrating the restart of Terminal C with our joint venture Imperial Duty Free, which is operating around 5,000sq m of retail space at the terminal. The short lead time of only five weeks from the decision to put the terminal back into operation until the actual reopening was a great challenge.
“We were able to succeed thanks to the very committed cooperation of everyone involved. A very special thanks goes to all colleagues at Gebr Heinemann as well as Imperial Duty Free for the efficient and very focused teamwork.”
Alongside the core category walk-through store, the partners operate a multi-brand fashion & accessories and watches & jewellery shop, several luxury monobrand boutiques, plus 500sq m of arrivals duty free space.
