Imperial Tobacco presented the €6,000 donation from its recent charity fundraiser to TFWA Care at last month’s Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA) Conference.
As reported, the money was raised at the TFWA World Exhibition in October through a game on the Imperial Tobacco stand.
The cheque was presented by Imperial Tobacco Global Travel Retail General Manager Andreas Lemke to TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen at Imperial’s Davidoff lounge at MEADFA.

“We are thrilled to have supported the charity,” Lemke said. “It was a great way to celebrate TFWA’s 30th anniversary and also support a deserving cause.”
Imperial Tobacco also hailed the success of the Davidoff lounge, which provided MEADFA delegates with the chance to sample a selection of Davidoff cigarettes. It was also used as a place for business meetings or to discuss the conference programme, which included a presentation on the Chinese traveller by Imperial Tobacco.
Imperial Tobacco Marketing Operations Manager Global Travel Retail Julia Neumaier said: “The Davidoff lounge was a great success. We received nothing but positive feedback and we attribute this to the informative, friendly hostesses and of course, our quality products.”
