INDIA. Piccadily Distilleries has launched Indri’s Diwali Collector’s Edition to travel retail, offering limited availability at airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, as well as Dubai Duty Free.
Indri’s Diwali Collector’s Edition 2026 Ruby Port Cask marks the fourth release in the brand’s annual festive series, with just 600 individually numbered 700ml bottles (50%ABV) available for the Indian market.
Combining rarity, provenance and craftsmanship, the edition is intended to mark special occasions while offering collectable appeal.
Following its debut in London, the release featured at The Whisky Show, where it drew attention from whisky writers, critics and industry experts.
Made from six-row barley and distilled in traditional copper pot stills, the whisky is matured in hand-selected Ruby Port wine casks from Portugal in the subtropical climate of northern India. The maturation process brings together the character of Indian single malt and the fruit notes of fortified wine.
The whisky features aromas of black cherries, wild berries and ripe plums, followed by notes of honeyed fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, vanilla and figs on the palate. The finish is long and fruit-forward.
Drawing on Indian miniature art and royal heritage, the packaging was designed by Krsnaa Mehta, Founder of India Circus. The artwork combines jewel tones, intricate floral patterns and ornate detailing with a Marwari horse and its foal, representing nobility, lineage and continuity.

Piccadily Distilleries Master Blender Surrinder Kumar said, “The Diwali Collector’s Edition has played a defining role in Indri’s journey and in the story of Indian single malts globally.
“When the 2023 edition was named the ‘Best Whisky in the World’, it was a watershed moment – not just for Indri, but for the belief that Indian single malts could stand confidently alongside the world’s finest.
“The Diwali Collector’s Edition has become an important expression of what Indri stands for – a distinctly Indian whisky with the ambition and craftsmanship to command attention on the world stage.
“With the 2026 Ruby Port Cask, we wanted to push that story further, bringing together the richness of Indian single malt, the elegance of exceptional Ruby Port casks and the artistry of India’s cultural heritage.
“Limited to just 600 individually numbered bottles, this is a release created not only to celebrate Diwali, but to celebrate how far Indian whisky has come. The recognition it has already received globally is a testament to the craftsmanship behind Indri and our belief that the finest expressions of whisky can proudly come from India.”
The latest release builds on the series’ award-winning track record, following the 2023 edition’s recognition as ‘Best Whisky in the World’ at the Whiskies of the World Awards.
The 2026 expression earned Double Gold with 96 points, Indian Single Malt Whisky of the Year and Spirit of the Year – India at the USA Spirits Ratings, alongside Gold at the World Whisky Masters, New York World Spirits Competition and Asia World Spirits Competition, bringing the series’ total to 29 international awards. ✈
