INTERNATIONAL. The Duty Free World Council (DFWC), in partnership with the Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA), has put together a strong line-up of industry experts for its webinar on 10 June (13:00 CET), which will examine the far-reaching implications of the ongoing Middle East conflict.

As the crisis continues to affect both regional and global travel retail, the associations will highlight key challenges facing stakeholders and explore the implications for the wider aviation and airport sectors.
Featured speaker Airport Council International (ACI) World Senior Director, Economic Policy and Airport Business Slava Cheglatonyev will provide insights into air traffic trends, evolving traveller behaviour, airport non-aeronautical revenue forecasts and the broader economic outlook arising from the conflict.
Cheglatonyev also serves as Interim Head of Airports at Businesses Centre of Excellence at ACI.
Providing a regional viewpoint, MEADFA President and CEO Abdeslam Agzoul, who is also Avolta CEO Middle East & Africa, will explore how businesses across the sector are responding to the challenges posed by the conflict.
As the representative body for many of the region’s key retailers, suppliers and distributors, MEADFA is closely engaged in helping the industry adapt to changing travel dynamics and airport shopping trends.
The association is inviting participants to contribute their perspectives and discuss how the conflict is impacting duty free and travel retail operations across their respective markets.
The webinar is free of charge, with registration available via this link. ✈
