USA. The Connecticut Airport Authority has opened a duty free shop at Bradley International Airport, managed by retailer International Shoppes.
The 500sq ft store is located near Gate 8 at the airport in Hartford County, Connecticut.

Passengers travelling on flights to Dublin, Ireland; Toronto and Montreal, Canada; and on the seasonal flight to Cancun, Mexico are now able to purchase items while exempt from customs duties and applicable consumption, liquor and tobacco taxes.
Passengers travelling to destinations within the USA can purchase certain items at the store but are not exempt from the local sales tax.
“The addition of this duty free shop to our menu of services is an important milestone in our continuous terminal transformation process,” said Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director Kevin Dillon. “We’re pleased to now offer our international passengers an opportunity to shop and save on premium items and to expand the shopping options for our domestic passengers.”
International Shoppes Vice President Matthew Greenbaum commented: “We are excited to expand our operations to Hartford’s Bradley Airport and look forward to providing excellent customer service to its passengers. Customers can expect a full assortment of duty free liquor and tobacco products as well as duty paid fragrances, skincare sets and confection that can be sold to all customers.”
The store will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 6pm and on Sundays between 12pm until 6pm.
