LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has appointed Jean-Jacques Guiony as President and Chief Executive Officer of the group’s wines and spirits division, Moët Hennessy, effective 1 February, replacing long-time incumbent Philippe Schaus.
Guiony, the long-time LVMH Chief Financial Officer, is also a member of the LVMH Executive Committee. Cécile Cabanis, a fellow member of the Executive Committee, will be appointed Chief Financial Officer succeeding Guiony, also from 1 February.
Schaus has spent 21 years with LVMH, including just over six years as Chairman & CEO of DFS Group from July 2012 to September 2017 when he assumed the Moët Hennessy leadership role.
LVMH said Schaus has decided to begin a new chapter in his career, focusing on non-executive roles. He will support the new team during the first half of 2025.
In his new responsibilities, Guiony will be supported by Alexandre Arnault as Deputy CEO of the division.
Charles Delapalme will be appointed Hennessy President and Chief Executive Officer following a period of transition with incumbent Laurent Boillot who has held the role since September 2019. Boillot’s new responsibilities will be announced later.
In another change Maud Alvarez-Pereyre will be appointed Executive Vice President Human Resources of the LVMH Group and become a member of the Executive Committee, effective 1 December.
In addition, Guillaume Motte, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sephora, will be named a member of the Executive Committee effective 1 January 2025. ✈
