Joël Lafon, Regional Director Asia Pacific of Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail, has announced his retirement following a longstanding career with the drinks company.
In an e-mail to friends and customers, the well-respected industry veteran wrote: “After 34 years with Rémy Martin/Rémy Cointreau International, including 23 in travel retail with 13 in Hong Kong, it is time for me to retire and enjoy a new chapter of my life.
“I have really enjoyed all those years with their different challenges, cultures and experiences. My wife and I will go back to my home town of Bordeaux this summer.
“I look forward to meeting some of you during TFWA in Singapore next week.”
