SOUTH KOREA. Duty Free Price (DFP – www.dutyfree-price.com), which claims to be the country’s only real-time duty-free price comparison site, today revealed that Taiwanese single malt whisky Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique ranked number one in customer searches during Q2 (see tables below).
The expression, matured in used American oak wine barrels, headed perennial Korean favourites Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Ballantine’s 21 Year Old, DFP said.
In skincare, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair led the rankings while in fragrance Diptyque Fleur De Peau EDP 75ml came out on top.
As reported, Duty Free Price (operated by Duty Free Price Research/DFPR) launched on 9 January. It offers extensive database tracks and updates prices for approximately 150,000 products across South Korean online duty-free shops.
In addition to offering real-time price comparisons, DFP has recently expanded its services to provide customised discount coupons for airport duty-free shops, restaurants and limousine buses, further enhancing the travel experience for its users.
The platform’s search data also provides insights into popular duty-free items, reflecting current consumer preferences.
Later this month DFP will showcase the top ten most-searched products across various categories, including skincare, makeup, fragrance, haircare, liquor, bags, jewellery, fashion & accessories, and health supplements.
“This ranking offers a glimpse into the hottest duty-free trends and highlights the growing popularity of brands such Kavalan or Diptyque,” DFPR commented.
“DFPR plans to continue publishing regular updates on top-ranking products and brands on its website, www.dfpr.kr, solidifying its position as the go-to platform for duty-free shopping in South Korea.”
