BELGIUM. Belgian bag supplier Kipling has extended its Autumn/Winter 2005 collection with new products for adults and children.
The Basic collection features a new multi-purpose backpack (model: Challenger) with round zip top and padded straps and back for day trips or sports, as well as a simple backpack with a clean design (model: Cape Cod) for everyday use.
Newcomers in the shoulder bags range include a round clutch bag with divisions for a telephone and pens (model: Tigan); a practical clutch bag with two compartments inside and two zip pockets on the front (model: Bora); a large shoulder bag with three separate compartments inside and divisions for phone, pens, folders (model: Talya L) and its smaller version (model: Talya M).
The Mini range for young girls aged four to ten is extended with a small backpack (model: Sam), a crossover (model: Pretty) and a rounded handbag (model: Cherry, pictured left). The models have a monkey lining on the inside and playful charms featuring a mother monkey with a child on her back.
Two prints are introduced to the If collection, which pays homage to the poetic and artful side of life. There is a swirling Arabesque motif for an extra small, refined zip top clutch (model: Phyllis S) and a practical shopper (model: Shirt). The hand-crafted motif in the Arabesque range is printed on nylon; the material is then padded and finally the motifs are stitched over.
The second new print is a feminine Lace pattern. Its delicate nature gives a shoulder bag with flap (model: Chilly, pictured above) and a small trapezium handbag (model: Sugar S) a special touch, according to Kipling.
Colours for these models are Sapphire Rose, Jade, Sea Fog and Zinc.
