Kraft Foods and Cadbury bring enhanced portfolio to Cannes

SWITZERLAND. Kraft Foods World Travel Retail (KFWTR) has put together a combination of novelties from both Kraft Foods and Cadbury for the TFWA World Exhibition this month (Stand number: Riviera Village RG5).

“Having a diverse and strong brand portfolio in all key confectionery segments – chocolate, gum and candy – to present to our trade partners at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes is very exciting for us,” commented KFWTR Managing Director Andreas Fehr.

“We have such a delightful array of novelties for 2011 and look forward to sharing our combined plans for the coming year with our retail partners.”

TRIDENT AND STIMOROL CHEWING GUM

Among the 2011 novelties, chewing gum will take centre stage with the launch of a travel retail exclusive multi-pack gum range for Trident and Stimorol.

Specially designed to fit travellers’ needs, the new convenient pack formats will fit easily in travel bags, further accelerating the impulse-driven character of the gum segment, said KFWTR.

Both Trident and Stimorol offerings include mint and a variety of fruit flavours.

New products include liquid gums (Trident Splash, Stimorol Fresh Zone, Stimorol Fusion), soft gums (Trident Senses) and traditional hard gums (Stimorol Classic) – all in multi-pack formats for added convenience.

To support the launch of the multi-packs, a new merchandising solution for placement at the cash till area has been developed. “The eye-catching, versatile displays are guaranteed to support impulse sales at the counter,” KFWTR added.

TOBLERONE

Toblerone has extended the snacking/sharing offer to its most popular flavour – milk – with the launch of Toblerone Gold Minis Pouch. This product builds on the success of the Mix Pack, and is presented in what KFWTR describes as a proven travel retail format: an easy-to-carry pouch for sharing and own consumption.

MILKA

New from Milka is Milka Imagine – light crispy pralines made of a combination of milk and cocoa cream and crispy wafer coated with Alpine milk chocolate. Milka Imagine is presented in a gift box with a window panel that offers a glimpse of the 24 individually wrapped pralines inside.

CADBURY

For 2011, the travel retail exclusive Cadbury Luxury Selection 335g Pralines box will be extended to two new formats.

The 190g format consists of 17 individually wrapped milk and dark pralines with hazelnut or almond cream. It is positioned as an affordable gift suitable for inflight sales.

The Cadbury Luxury Selection 510g Pralines box comprises 45 pralines for sharing.

CȎTE D’OR

Côte d’Or’s tablet is now being offered in a bite-size format for gifting and sharing. Côte d’Or Chocolate Minis are individually wrapped milk chocolate pieces with whole hazelnuts which come in a re-closeable box.

MIRABELL

Austrian speciality band Mirabell Salzburger Mozartkugeln, a praline filled with marzipan and nougat cream, will now be presented in a snack size format.

Offered in a convenient re-closeable cup, the new Mirabell Mozartkugeln Minis offer the same recipe for snacking.

FREIA MELKESJOKOLADE AND KVIKK LUNSJ

Two of Norway’s leading brands, Freia Melkesjokolade and Kvikk Lunsj come together in a new tablet made of Freia milk chocolate, pieces of Kvikk Lunsj wafer and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Kvikk Lunsj has “an extraordinary emotional heritage” for Norwegians, said KFWTR, as it has been a part of their lifestyle for over 70 years. Already a success in the domestic market, the king size format of Freia Kvikk Lunsj is designed to strengthen the informal sharing segment of Freia in travel retail.

Also new for 2011 is Freia Gullruter (‘golden squares’), which contains five of Freia’s best-selling travel retail tablet flavours in single bite-sized squares in an XXL-size bag. These include Freia Melkesjokolade, Firkløver, Daim, Walters Mandler and Fruktnøtt.

This new range follows the introduction of the Freia Klassikere bag, which offers the most popular Freia bars, mixed in a snacking format.
