
CHINA. Lacoste has opened a standalone boutique at the CNSC Sanya International Duty Free Plaza. The 95sq m store follows the brand’s ‘Le Club Concept Evolution’ retail concept and is located on the second floor of the complex.
The boutique offers the brand’s menswear and womenswear fashion, shoes and accessories with a special focus on the best-selling Lacoste polo shirt. The bright and colourful interiors take inspiration from Lacoste’s tennis heritage.
Lacoste currently has over 170 boutiques in travel retail, a channel which it considers to be the ‘6th continent’. According to the brand, it is consistently enhancing the consumer experience, by offering channel-specific collections and visual merchandising.
Looking to the future, Lacoste said that it will continue to leverage travel retail to expand to new regions. It will further develop new channels, including ecommerce and cruise, and find new ways to engage with travellers pre- during and post-trip.✈
