Lagardère Travel Retail finds a (Mr) Simple fashion solution in Melbourne

Lagardère Travel Retail has opened a Mr Simple store at Melbourne Airport’s Qantas Domestic Terminal 1, the retailer’s first men’s fashion store in the Pacific region,

With a tag line of Life Made Simple, Victorian brand Mr Simple offers what Lagardère describes as “a fresh face for men’s fashion”. Its range includes basic tees, windcheaters, chinos and accessories such as watches, wallets, backpacks and luggage.

The 52sq m store features what the retailer called “a simplistic, yet sophisticated and accessible design and layout”. The uncomplicated approach to fashion is reflected in clean designs and understated use of lighting and fixtures.

Mr Simple Director David Fraser said: “Travel and exploring the world is a big part of our brand ethos and the ability to put Mr Simple in front of customers who live that lifestyle is a great opportunity. The store also carries an extensive range of Herschel Supply product which is a perfect fit with Mr Simple for the well-travelled.”

Fraser said the brand had worked with design studio ProSpace to create a store with “a clean and fresh aesthetic in line with our product offering”.
