Family-owned fragrance and beauty house Puig has unveiled Le Male Le Parfum, the new men’s fragrance from Jean Paul Gaultier.
The scent represents the latest chapter in Jean Paul Gaultier’s nautical-inspired fragrance line. It is now available in worldwide travel retail.
Le Male Le Parfum is an oriental woody fragrance with sea-breeze inspired infusions. It was created by perfumers Quentin Bisch and Nathalie Gracia-Cetto.
The scent opens with warm cardamom top notes and lavender sea breeze heart notes and closes with vanilla base notes.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s signature sailor flaçon gets a sleek black and gold makeover for Le Male Le Parfum. The fragrance bottle features the brand’s sailor torso silhouette, dressed in a black lacquered officer’s jacket with gold accents. It is packaged in a matching black and gold metallic can.
The new scent is supported by a striking visual and social media campaign under the hashtag #Welcomeonboard.
As reported, Puig reorganised its business structure and created three new divisions: Beauty and Fashion, Charlotte Tilbury and Derma effective 1 January 2021.
Jean Paul Gaultier is part of the powerful fragrance portfolio in Puig’s Beauty and Fashion Division. The company said it has a market share of nearly 10% and has three brands in the world’s top 20 prestige fragrance brands. Puig set the ambitious goal of reaching €3 billion (US$3.63 billion) sales in 2023.
