Loacker puts Minis innovation and premium gifting in the spotlight at TFWA show in Cannes

Created with today’s traveller in mind, Loacker’s latest Minis combine convenient bite-sized formats with colourful destination-inspired designs that add a sense of place and travel appeal

Italian wafer and confectionery brand Loacker is set to present its latest product innovations and global travel retail exclusives (TREXs) at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (AA 11, Yellow Village).

The showcase will centre on channel-specific innovation aimed at strengthening Loacker’s global travel retail proposition and capturing evolving traveller needs.

With premium gifting, convenience and shareability continuing to shape confectionery purchases, Loacker will present a range of concepts designed to broaden choice and enhance shelf appeal and versatility across different consumption occasions.

Among the key innovations on display is the expanded Loacker Minis range, which builds on the established Classic wafer assortment with lighter, fruit-forward flavours including strawberry, as well as contemporary options that have already delivered strong results in Loacker’s domestic markets.

Also in the spotlight are the recently launched Around the World Travel Bag and Misto Bontà Variety Pack, which have both received strong feedback from travel retail partners.

A travel retail exclusive, the 245.8g Around the World Travel Bag features 26 Loacker miniature specialities with colourful global landmark illustrations and an integrated carry handle.

Since its debut at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, the product has secured strong listings across multiple international markets.

The 466.5g Misto Bontà Variety Pack combines individually wrapped Wafer Thins, Classic wafers and Gardena bars in a format made for self-consumption, sharing and gifting.

It made a successful debut across King Power Thailand locations earlier this year, underscoring the continued growth of Loacker’s travel retail business in this key market.

For every taste: Loacker’s Misto Bontà brings together a selection of wafer favourites for sharing, gifting or enjoying along the journey

Loacker Head of Travel Retail and Duty Free Juan Miguel Cabrera commented, “Our focus in Cannes is on strengthening the core of our global travel retail offer while continuing to develop targeted innovation around the needs of travelling consumers.

“The evolution of Minis is an exciting next step, building on an established Loacker favourite with contemporary flavour profiles and greater choice.

“The Cannes show provides an important opportunity to reinforce our relationships with existing retail and distribution partners, while also identifying new avenues for growth.

“Despite the volatile market environment, we see significant potential across Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe, and we are focused on working closely with partners in these regions to accelerate our expansion and build long-term, sustainable growth in global travel retail.”

The company’s wider sustainability strategy is reflected in its Società Benefit status, established in 2025. The 2026 Impact Report outlines its goals, verifiable progress, challenges faced and new priorities.

Loacker’s sustainability strategy centres on four common benefit purposes: Climate Action, Circularity and Environmental Stewardship; Ethical Sourcing and Community Empowerment; Responsibility for People in the Company; and Mindful Indulgence.
