FRANCE. Lotte Duty Free has deepened its partnership with Moët Hennessy Global Travel Retail to cover exclusive and limited-edition products, shopper engagement, joint marketing, retail store development and global expansion.

The agreement was announced at the ongoing TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (view our live on-location coverage here), with senior executives from both companies in attendance, including Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha; Moët Hennessy Global Travel Retail President Nicolas Gilardenghi; and Moët Hennessy Travel Retail Asia Pacific President Romain Carricaburu.

The agreement will give the retailer priority access to selected prestige Champagne and premium whisky offerings, boosting its premium spirits & wine portfolio while supporting the development of the maison flagships.

The expanded partnership builds on a series of exclusive launches and VIP programmes, highlighted by the Korean duty-free debut of the Hennessy X.O Spirit of Travel Seoul Edition. A new Hennessy X.O Spirit of Travel expression will follow exclusively with Lotte Duty Free in 2027, alongside the exclusive launch of Glenmorangie 50 Year Old at Incheon International Airport.

VIP engagement will be another focus, with two private masterclasses for selected customers planned annually. The next session is scheduled for October at Lotte Hotel Busan, bringing together 20 VIP guests.

The expanded partnership builds on collaborations such as this June activation in Lotte Duty Free’s Hennessy flagship at Incheon International Airport, created to spotlight the Seoul Edition and Spirit of Travel Collection

Lotte Duty Free CEO Kim Dong-ha said, “This agreement marks an important step in taking our strategic partnership with Moët Hennessy to the next level, building on the trust we have established over many years.

“Building on Lotte Duty Free’s differentiated sourcing capabilities and expertise in spirits & wine retail, we will continue to offer our customers exceptional products and distinctive brand experiences.”

Lotte Duty Free also used its Cannes presence to deepen ties with leading global brands, signing a strategic agreement with SK-II on 28 September.

A further agreement followed on 29 September with LVMH Beauty, which manages Parfums Christian Dior.

The retailer said the latest agreements reinforce its focus on collaboration across product sourcing, retail experiences and marketing as it continues to strengthen its position in the global travel retail market. ✈
