LS travel retail makes senior changes in Pacific regional division

Scott Raisin: leaving LS after 11 years’ service

ASIA PACIFIC. The Moodie Report reliably understands that retailer LS travel retail has made senior personnel changes at its Pacific division, based in Australia.

Scott Raisin, previously Pacific CEO and former head of HDS Retail Asia Pacific – now known as LS travel retail ASPAC – is understood to have left the company earlier this month. His replacement is Matthieu Mercier, who has moved to LS travel retail Pacific’s Sydney base from his previous role with LS in Bulgaria.

Raisin spent 11 years with LS travel retail and its forerunners, becoming Managing Director of Hachette Distribution Services’ (now Lagardère Services) Asia Pacific business on its acquisition of NewsLink in 2004.

He helped to develop HDS’ presence in new markets including China and Taiwan, and helped secure key news & gifts concessions in Singapore Changi and Hong Kong International airports. He also played a role in the recent diversification of LS’ business in the Pacific, with the opening of a luxury fashion store in Sydney and a duty free contract gain in Nouméa, New Caledonia.
