Lucky Louie Fish Shack gives viral raccoon Jimothy his own swirl at Seattle-Tacoma Airport

USA. Seattle’s viral raccoon is bringing his local star power to the airport, with women-operated 1915 KCHouse Concepts introducing Ballard neighbourhood celebrity Jimothy to the Lucky Louie Fish Shack menu at Seattle-Tacoma International.

Available through the end of September, the limited-time Jimothy Swirl creation (US$8.99) combines vanilla soft serve, dark chocolate sauce and Oreo cookies, topped with house-made vanilla whip.

The Jimothy treatment extends to a free custom Lucky Louie sticker with each swirl, featuring the furry local celebrity in a Seahawks-coloured cap, with SEA luggage tags and a watch.

The sticker can also be purchased separately for US$3.75.

What began as a single Instagram post quickly grew into a global following for Jimothy, the unusually round and compact raccoon whose puffy silhouette and long front legs have made him instantly recognisable.

The cultural footprint has been notable, inspiring fan art, city murals, Google Easter eggs and even a feature in The New York Times.

Jimothy’s celebrity appeal was evident at The Flavor Experience conference, where 1915 KCHouse Concepts Co-Founder Kathy Casey spoke about him during the opening session, prompting an enthusiastic audience reaction.

Casey also noted that given its strong reception, the Jimothy Swirl could become a permanent menu item. ‍
