GERMANY. German airline Lufthansa said today its passenger traffic in January rose +6% compared to the same month last year.
Traffic, expressed as the number of paying passengers multiplied by the distance they flew, rose to 7.42 billion revenue-passenger kilometres, the airline said in a statement.
Load factor, which measures the average number of seats sold as a proportion of seats available on its flights, was up 0.6 percentage points at 70%.
