UK. KLM and Air France today become the latest airlines to begin operations from Manchester Airport’s enhanced Terminal 2. The airport has also announced forthcoming food & beverage openings in the terminal from two brands well-known in Manchester.
KLM and Air France are now among more than a dozen major airlines that have migrated from elsewhere at the airport to the new facility, which has recently undergone a £1 billion upgrade.

They join the likes of Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Jet2.com and TUI as residents at what has been dubbed by Manchester Airport as its ‘super-terminal’.
Meanwhile, Italian restaurant chain San Carlo will open a new venue in the Terminal 2 departures area on Thursday this week. The dining brand has multiple restaurants across seven major UK cities, including six in the Manchester area, and operates four eateries in the Middle East.
That opening will be quickly followed by Manchester coffee shop brand Pot Kettle Black, which begins operations in Terminal 2 on 4 October.

The new restaurant and café will join other recently opened F&B outlets in the terminal with strong Manchester links. They include burger and shake chain Archie’s and offerings from local brewers Joseph Holt and Seven Bro7hers, which operate the Bridgewater Exchange and Amber Alehouse at the airport respectively.
Manchester Airport Managing Director Karen Smart said: “It is brilliant to see yet more valued airline partners serving passengers through our new state-of-the-art facility and I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome KLM and Air France to Terminal Two.
“Plus, we’re delighted to see two further Manchester brands, San Carlo and Pot Kettle Black, open their doors to passengers. Feedback for the new terminal has so far been incredibly positive and we cannot wait for more and more passengers to experience it.
“With passenger numbers rising each day, we are starting to see the green shoots of recovery in our sector, and we hope that the easing of some restrictions for double-vaccinated travellers next week will help ensure that trend continues.”
