Malaysia Airports issues retail tender at Kuala Lumpur International

MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports has issued a tender for a series of retail outlets at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The spaces range in size from 11sq m to 218sq m. Most are located in the Satellite Building at KLIA with several in the Main Terminal Building (Arrivals and Departures).

The opportunities are mainly in fashion & accessories, with concepts on offer including a large multi-brand fashion gallery, an Islamic fashion unit, a sunglasses shop, a store selling local designer brands and a premium branded outlet. Other stores include a premium gift shop, a convenience store plus a specialist food & delicatessen unit.

At stake are three-year contracts for each outlet. Contracts will be based on a fixed rental or variable royalty, whichever is higher.

The deadline for submissions is 27 August.
