Marcolin Group and GCDS announce ‘disruptive’ new global partnership

Italian fashion brand GCDS is known for its disruptive high-impact streetwear style

Eyewear specialist Marcolin Group has announced an exclusive global partnership with fashion and accessories brand GCDS. Under the agreement, Marcolin Group will have the licence for the design, production, and distribution of GCDS eyewear and sunglasses for a five year period beginning in 2020.

The first Marcolin Group x GCDS Collaboration was unveiled during the fashion brand’s runway show in September. According to the company, the upcoming spring 2020 collection will combine strong streetstyle and sports elements with bold colours and technical materials.

The new eyewear collection will make its travel retail debut in the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore next year.

“We are proud to have entered into this agreement with GCDS, a young and versatile brand, a benchmark in the luxury street style field,” said Marcolin Group CEO Massimo Renon. He added: “With this partnership, Marcolin Group is taking a further step towards the diversification of its portfolio.”

The sentiment was echoed by GCDS CEO Giordano Calza, who said: “For us, this partnership represents an important expansion of GCDS’s accessory portfolio. We took the strategic decision to work alongside an Italian partner that is a worldwide eyewear leading company.”
