UK. Mars International Travel Retail (MITR) will present a contemporary new display at TFWA Asia Pacific next month (Stand J8).
Following the recent name change to Mars ITR (previously Masterfoods), the company has launched a new website www.mars-itr.com which features the latest product portfolio and allows customers to control the ordering and sales process. A collection of new packs have also been launched this year to build on the company’s growth in the Asia Pacific region.
MITR Consultant Stuart Bull said “This year, following intensive research among travelling consumers, we have evolved two new areas of invention. Firstly we’re introducing “˜Maxi Packs’, the next generation of our best-selling Pouch Packs to give maximum value for money. Secondly we’re launching the first in a series of confectionery with “˜games’, offering big play value for families. Both are about sharing and gifting while offering an extra bonus.”
MITR is introducing no less than ten new 2008/09 products at the TFWA Asia Pacific show, all of which will be available globally. They consist of:

This is a colourful new gift featuring Celebrations, and is available in a flower-shaped clear gift pack.
Dove Jewels Blossom (300g)
With innovative packaging, this pack contains the new and improved selection of Dove Jewels.
Dove Jewels Casket (400g)
This extension to the range of “˜Dove/Galaxy’ products is a gift in a clear casket.
Dove Jewels Handbag (245g)
This is a funky handbag-shaped presentation box containing a brand new assortment of Dove chocolates.
CHARACTER GIFTS
The M&M’s Scube Train Set
This includes six new M&M’s Scube characters which can be connected to make a collectable train set. Each contains 160g of M&M’s Peanut or M&M’s Choco flavours.
M&M’s Scube Soccer Game (125g)
This is a mini soccer table game with two teams made up of M&M’s characters containing M&M’s Peanut confectionery.
SHARING PACKS
MITR launches several new larger format Pouch Packs for big-value sharing after a major programme of research and extensive market testing. They include:
