Matt Chambers: key retail marketing role |
INTERNATIONAL. Aldeasa-WDF has named Matt Chambers as Global Head of Retail Marketing.
In this newly created role, Chambers takes full responsibility for a 30-strong marketing team and will oversee the global marketing strategy for Aldeasa- WDF, reporting into Chief Commercial Officer, Eugenio Andrades.
Chambers, who has over 20 years’ marketing experience, was previously Executive Brand Director at House of Fraser (2007-2011) and Sales and Marketing Director at The Mall (2004-2006).
The aim, said the company, is to shape an effective global marketing strategy to unify brand communications in all countries, underpinning its drive for increased footfall and sales across the estate.
Andrades said: “Matt’s strong retail experience and insight into the domestic retail market will add a valuable dimension to our existing marketing teams based in the UK and Spain. We very much look forward to working with him to develop new approaches which will stretch our marketing programmes and strategies even further.”
Chambers said: “As one of the world’s leading travel retailers, Aldeasa-WDF has strong brand equity within the various markets in which it operates. There us a real opportunity to leverage this equity by adopting a customer-focused approach that is relevant in all 20 countries in which we trade.”
