Maxxium to unveil fast-growing Xanté liqueur in Cannes

A blend of Cognac and the juice of ripe pears, Xanté is matured in casks of French Limousin oak which give the liqueur its subtle aromas of vanilla


INTERNATIONAL. Maxxium Travel Retail will present Xanté Pear and Cognac Liqueur at the TFWA World Exhibition next week (Stand number: Green Village M53).

According to IWSR, Xanté is ranked number six in travel retail sales within the traditional liqueur category worldwide – even though it has yet to be listed at more than a dozen airports outside the Nordic region. Within the Nordics Xanté is ranked as the top-selling brand in the category and within Europe it ranks fifth behind leading brands such as Cointreau and Drambuie.

Xanté is described as a 38%abv premium liqueur. A blend of Cognac and pear juice, Xanté is matured in casks of French Limousin oak which give the liqueur its subtle vanilla aromas.

The brand has recently broken into the US and Russian domestic markets and is on track to launch in several travel retail locations in the coming months.

The Xanté Company CEO Adèle Nilsson said: “Xanté is the only brand in its category that has increased its sales exponentially over the last decade and has managed to climb into the top 20 list. This is contraindicative to the performance of the liqueur category in general which has been affected quite severely by recession and by changing tastes.

“Xanté on the other hand is a very young and exciting drink which is gaining quite a following as a base for cocktails and shots in clubs and restaurants.”

Among the fans who enjoy Xanté are said to be Hollywood celebrities such as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Alec Baldwin.
