GERMANY. Minox will be presenting two new digital cameras, the DCC 5.1 and the DC 9011 WP, at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore.
MINOX DCC 5.1
Described as “a small masterpiece with huge performance”, the new digital Classic Camera Minox DCC 5.1 is created on a scale of 1:3 in a tribute to German engineering in the 1950s.
Designed with a classic look, the Minox DCC features 5.1 megapixel hardware resolution, a 2.0-inch display and a small and attachable viewfinder. In addition to the optical viewfinder the large display helps the user to compose the picture and also shows the details of the selected camera settings.
Film sequences can also be shot in video mode in AVI format. All data are stored on external SD cards with a capacity of up to 16 GB. Power is supplied by a replaceable Lithium-ion battery.
Accessories such as a teleconverter and a wide-angle converter offer more photographic options with the small DCC. Even in the close focus range of up to 50 cm the new addition to the Classic Camera collection captures every subject in sharp detail, the company said.
A lens cap made of chrome-plated brass and designed in the original classic look of the fifties protects the front lens. The attachable metal viewfinder can also be kept in an optional, small leather case. Other accessories include a leather case for the camera, a leather strap, soft carrying strap, wrist strap and the Classic Camera Flash.

Besides the satin-lined wooden box, the scope of delivery of the DCC 5.1 includes a Lithium-ion battery, power pack, USB cable and user manual.
MINOX DC 9011 WP
The DC 9011 WP has a sturdy body that is waterproof up to a depth of 3m, and repels dust, water, sand and salt. Specially designed for extreme conditions and rough environments it is suitable for fans of water sports and the outdoors as well as extreme athletes, said Minox.
The digital camera features a resolution of 9 megapixels with dimensions measuring 94 x 63 x 24.4 mm. The 2.5-inch color monitor provides clear visibility of the composed subject, even when shooting pictures underwater. The user-friendly offers eight subject programs to choose from, depending on the situation.
The new Minox DC 9011 WP comes with a camera pouch, strap, software, USB-cable and 2x AAA batteries.
