SWITZERLAND. Mondelez World Travel Retail (WTR) has been named as the top supplier in travel retail for the second consecutive year in an annual performance benchmarking report.
The company ranked first in The Advantage Group International’s “˜2015 Advantage Report – Travel Retail’, which aims to combine quantitative data with qualitative feedback from 59 retailers.
Mondelez WTR’s overall performance score improved over its mark in 2014, with the company receiving top tier evaluations in all seven sub-categories within the report’s core benchmark set. These are: business relationship and support; supplier personnel and organisation; business/category development and support; consumer marketing and support; supply chain management; trade marketing and promotion practices; and customer service and support.

“The fact that we rank no. 1 for the second consecutive year by the entire duty free industry validates our strategy,” said Mondelez WTR Managing Director Andreas Fehr. “We have been driving category and industry growth through a commitment to in-store excellence, product innovation and strong partnerships, all backed by the insights from our Delighting Travelers Category Vision. This accomplishment is also a true testament to the hard work and dedication of a fantastic team.”
Fehr said the company had recently revised its organisational structure to improve its level of service, creating Regional Accounts and Global Accounts groups headed by Thomas Bodenmann and Jaya Singh respectively.
“We are confident that our new retailer-focused organisation will further strengthen our leadership in the channel and help us to remain top tier supplier in the industry by better supporting our partners and continue to drive category growth,” commented Fehr.
